David Gale – Biography
David Gale is an experienced host, actor, writer, producer, director, improviser, singer, and is quickly becoming a master at being a jack of all trades. He is the winner of Canada1s 2001 Gemini for Best Host in a Lifestyle or Performing Arts Program or Series and the 2002 Galaxi Award for Best On-Camera Performance. These awards were for his work on W Network1s funny and heartwarming grandmother cooking show Loving Spoonfuls
David has made memorable appearances on The Vicki Gabereau Show, Open Mike with Mike Bullard and Canada AM, and has been featured in television shows including Puppets Who Kill, The Newsroom and La Femme Nikita. David has starred in numerous commercials and gave an exposing performance in the feature film Zero Patience. Some of his favorite theatre work includes performing in Unidentified Human Remains and The True Nature of Love, What The Butler Saw, and the award-winning Pirates of Penzance at the Stratford Festival.

David has also worked as a stage director and choreographer on shows that include Godspell, The Me Nobody Knows (The Randolph Academy at the Ford Centre), Dads in Bondage (The Red Barn) and I Slept With Tony Trouble (Toronto, Vancouver, Stratford, London, England, and The Edinburgh Festival).

With collaborator Randy Vancourt, Gale wrote, produced and starred in numerous musicals including the Dora-award winning Chutzpah à Go-Go, which played to critical acclaim and sold-out houses across Canada.

David recently became a father for the first time (the best award so far) and between diaper changes and promoting Loving Spoonfuls' first book The Loving Spoonfuls Cookbook he is planning a pre-emptive strike on the soon to be released American major motion picture The Life of David Gale (no relation).

David Gale has hosted everything from fundraising auctions to game shows since coming to Toronto from Winnipeg over 20 years ago. Thanks to Loving Spoonfuls, David has collected 65 new grandmothers who have extended a standing invitation for Sunday dinner and are expecting a call once a week.
